Business wins interfaculty league

On March 6, the Business Faculty emerged the champions of the Easter semester inter-faculty league.  This was after a decider match that Business men played against the law faculty at the new pitch.

The winners’ match that had earlier ended in a 0-0 draw took to the penalties where the business faculty scored 4-2 against the lawyers.

Prior to the game, there was too much pressure among the fans and players of both teams. However, it all went down 30 minutes into the first quarter when fans anticipated that no team was likely to score since players had transitioned from playing to fighting and struggling for a win. This was the reason why over four yellow cards were issued during the same period.

Since the beginning of the league in February, the Business faculty has been consistently topping the league followed by the L aw faculty.

Last year, the faculty of Education won the league.

Arthur Nagimesi, the former Education faculty coach and current Business Faculty coach, attributes their success to hard work, determination, teamwork and the team spirit of the players.

The losers’ match played between the Engineers against Food and Technology ended 2-1.
