In a move to boost the academic profile of Uganda Christian University (UCU), the institution’s Directorate of Post Graduate Studies has introduced a special training to skill graduate students to be able to produce publication-worthy research.

The Uganda Christian University (UCU) chaplaincy has introduced cell ministry, which is intended to extend God’s word to people in smaller groups (cells) within and outside UCU.

More steps must be taken to mitigate the negative effects of climate change on our country.

Speaking to some students at UCU about what they think about having a more practical form of learning to theorize, this is what they had to say.

When Elvis Kawumba joined Uganda Christian University (UCU) in 2020, he noticed a challenge that students were facing in accessing grocery shops located outside the university. 

The president of the Uganda National Students Association (UNSA), Yusuf Welonga, has advised students to explore other available avenues before thinking about strikes.

“The cookie clients introduced us to the food clients,” Julian said. She sells each plate of food at sh5,000 (about $1.3) and earns up to sh60,000 ($16.3) per day in net profit.

The visiting team of Hanze oriented students in the computer lab on the Peggy Noll block, where students were oriented and taught the best way to apply their classroom acquired knowledge and create projects for themselves. 

Bread in a Ugandan setting is commonly prepared from a wheat base, unlike in developed countries where wheat is getting less popular as more allergens in wheat are found.

“I was bullied by not only the health workers but even by my fellow patients. This really hurt me so much. At that point, if I knew then how to abort, trust me, my baby wouldn’t see the light of the day today,” she said.
