On September 29, 2021, Nathanael Simbilyabo traveled from Nyankunde, Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), to Uganda Christian University (UCU) to pursue a bachelor of arts in journalism and communication ( BAJC). He is passionate about it and will help him achieve his dream of becoming a voice for the voiceless.

As a result, on March 17, 2023, the Department of University ICT Service (UIS) at Uganda Christian University (UCU), led by Rebecca Kamgabe, the UIS Technical Manager, paid a visit to Bishop Senior Secondary School in Mukono to lend a helping hand by sharing their knowledge of ICT with the students.

After the death of James Kibirige, the father of new Mukono Diocese Bishop Enos Kitto Kagodo, the burden of looking after the family fell on their mother. Ruth Kibirige found herself brewing local beer and selling fish to get money to keep her children in school. Occasionally, Good Samaritans would support Ruth with handouts for the family. At the time, Kagodo was in Primary Five.

The JKL Lady Dolphins defeated the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Canons 67-51 in the first high-profile game of the 2023 National Basketball League season. 

The Uganda Christian University (UCU) netball team, known as the UCU Angels, won both of their road games as the Netball Super League returned on March 15th.

In 2019, Nsehemererirwe Abel, a student in his third year of his second degree in Industrial Fine Art and Design at Uganda Christian University (UCU), was approached by his fellow classmates to give them a ride to a party at Sezibwa Falls in Mukono District.

His Grace  Dr. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu met with the 25th Guild Government during his Chancellor’s pastoral visit to Uganda Christian University (UCU) during the 2023 Easter semester to try to find solutions to their challenges.

After a break of two years, the interfaculty games made a comeback, and several faculties were eager to participate in the upcoming tournament.It started with the division of the eight faculties into two different groups at the Hamu Mukasa library at Uganda Christian University(UCU) that is Group A and B.

The Uganda Christian University’s School of Journalism, Media, and Communication (JMC) is preparing to offer short courses in journalism and communication beginning on March 15th, 2023.

The church relations department at Uganda Christian University (UCU) has embarked on training the Anglican clergy in Uganda with contemporary skills to be able to evangelize better in the ever-changing world.
