“Inviting a Giraffe to Tea” is a book written by Patty Huston-Holm, who is a Journalist and Communications professional, from Canal Winchester, Ohio, USA. For her love of adventure, she has travelled frequently to Africa, and specifically Uganda to help with various writing projects primarily at Uganda Christian University, Mukono.

With the Easter semester drawing closer to an end, Uganda Christian University (UCU) Launchpad Debate Club has welcomed in new leaders picking up from the outgoing leadership of Benjamin Elaku, the outgoing president. Elaku’s government handed over to Fred Burondwa’s new leadership team.

Seventy students have today graduated as Para Counsellors. The event happened on Saturday, March 26, at the Ruth Nkoyoyo Wellness Centre at Uganda Christian University. (UCU) The function was graced by  Rev Henry Majwala, the assistant Chaplain of UCU. 

The first time I met Steven Kisenge he shared briefly about his passion for human rights while seated in the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Honors College office of Pamela Tumwebaze. The second time was to learn more about Steven, who was this time dressed in black and accompanied by his friend Julius Lubangangeyo, also a student in the Honors College dressed in white coat and black trouser. Both had broad welcoming smiles.

Uganda Christian University (UCU)’s 24th guild government has held the guild annual run. This run has aimed at raising tuition for students struggling to clear their tuition. The 8km run started at the UCU main pitch through bishop stage road to Nabutti. The athletes turned to Shiro church Bugujju and then back to the UCU main gate.
