In July 2023, Uganda Christian University (UCU) graduates 45 pioneer students of its School of Medicine. The graduates are the first batch of exceptional doctors – with many more to come, marking a milestone since the establishment of the School of Medicine in 2018.

I have fun with my clothes onstage; it’s not a concert you’re seeing, it’s a fashion show.” The Uganda Christian University (UCU), department of Visual Arts and Design, organised a fashion concert led by students who displayed their artistic creation through clothes along the runway in Nkoyoiyo Hall. Uganda Christian University (UCU) held the annual instructive and entertaining UIS Week at the Huma Mukasa Library for the second time. The event, held by the University ICT Services (UIS), sought to engage with students, create knowledge about the UIS’s spectrum of services, and solve various ICT-related concerns that students encounter.

“Mwami ssuuna, mbadde nsaba kwogerako nawe.” 

A tall woman I’d never seen spoke Luganda.  Translated to English, the message was: “Mr. Ssuuna, I would like to talk to you.”

Working parents continue the struggle to find a convenient, safe and responsible child care school that gives them a peace of mind as they do their jobs. For Uganda Christian University (UCU) staff members, the dilemma is less because of a high-quality Kids Care Centre on the Mukono campus.

In the summer of 2022, a team of three students from Dartmouth College in the USA state of New Hampshire were in Mukono, home of the main campus of Uganda Christian University (UCU), to actualize a solar water heater project designed to help the users save money, improve the health of the kitchen staff and reduce the amount of carbon output to the environment.

UCU’s road to success is a tribute to the enduring power of faith, perseverance, and community, and it stands tall as a reminder that greatness can be attained by collaborative vision and purpose.

The Uganda Christian University (UCU) School of Business hosted a worship night at Nkoyoyo Multipurpose Hall, which was attended by a number of students and other staff members. The Nkyoyo hall was packed to capacity, and the topic of the day was “True Worship,” as quoted in John 4:24. According to a few students that attended the worship night,

The media ecosystem thrives in Kampala, Uganda, with a myriad of channels, both online and offline, that try to inform, educate, entertain, and campaign for democracy. The media plays an important part in the lives of ordinary Ugandans, with over 200 radio stations, 30 TV channels, and a handful of newspapers. Appreciation for their work, on the other hand, remains a complex and multidimensional subject.

When students in the Uganda Studies Program (USP) at Uganda Christian University (UCU) depart for their homes and colleges in North America, they leave memories, experiences and some of their gently used items.
