A section of Guild leaders at Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono Campus have committed to giving their top up tuition, to students struggling to complete paying tuition fees. The leaders pledged their willingness to support struggling students during the two days leaders’ orientation programme that was held at UCU Mukono Campus for Guildleaders from both the Mukono and Kampala campuses
Uganda Christian University (UCU) has graduated a new group of para counsellors to strengthen mental health support, peer counselling, and emotional well-being among students and the wider community. The graduation ceremony was held on Friday, March 27, in the Executive Conference Room at the university.
What began as an ordinary meeting between the Guild representatives and the Acting Director of Students Affairs (DOSA), Ms Enid Ashaba Mugarura, turned into a discussion about the residential challenges students at Uganda Christian University (UCU), particularly those of PDR and Honours College are facing
UCU Angels once more stormed with a strong performance by edging SLAU four quarters win to nil. They won the first quarter 08- 05, second quarter 14- 09, third quarter 22- 12 and the fourth and final quarter 31- 16.
UCU Lady Doves won the first set 25- 12, the second set 25- 18.and the third and final set 25-20. Their win as they wait for the final slated for tomorrow means 100% perfection and winning style, having won all two group stage phase games in their group B.
In the first single, Nalumansi went against MUBS’ Belinda Nabbumba, and took her out after two sets, winning 21-7 and 21-3.
The Uganda Christian University(UCU) Doves have concluded the group stages of the Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) games having beaten Makerere University Business School (MUBS) three sets against one.
Leading the charge for UCU was 21-year-old Esther Atto, who emerged as a standout performer in the women’s category. Atto claimed third place in the 100 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 1:13.19,
Ciella Igiraneza and Sharifa Nalwada spilled all KU Eagles’ hopes with tomenting three points shots which mazimized UCU Lady Canons’ points in the four quarters respectively.
