The draws for the 2022 East African University Games were held on Monday, with institutions finding out who they were to face at Ndejje University.
Uganda Christian University (UCU) will compete in eight disciplines, with hopes of going one better and emerging as champions.
The top four finalists from the 11th East African Games in Dodoma in 2018 were used to determine seeding.
In basketball, the Canons find themselves in Group D alongside Uganda Martyrs Nkozi, Kenyatta University, and YMCA Comprehensive.
The Lady Canons are seeded alongside the University of Nairobi, Victoria University, and Kenya Methodist, with the 2022 NBL champions expected to be favorites.
It’s an all Ugandan affair in men’s football group A as MUBS, Makerere University, and Bugema University join the Mukono based side.

The men’s volleyball team is in Group A against Kyambogo University, Bishop Stuart University, and Kenyatta University.
When there is only one game per group, such as rugby and volleyball (women), the competition should be set up as a round robin, with the winner taking all.
The Shepherds, the rugby side, are in the same group as Kyambogo University, Ndejje University, the University of Nairobi, Makerere University, and Strathmore University.
Meanwhile, the ladies volleyball team finds themselves alongside the University of Nairobi, Kampala University, and the hosts.
The games will be held between December 16th and December 21st.
