Lady Doves 3-0 UCU Lady Cardinals
Lady Doves secured a 3-0 victory against UCU Lady Cardinals in the FUFA Women Super League encounter played at Katusabe Stadium in Masindi.
Sumaya Nsisi, Norah Alupo and Dorcus Kwikiriza were on the target as Lady Doves secured maximum points on the day.
Nsisi fired the hosts ahead with a great finish leaving the Lady Cardinals’ backline totally beaten.
Barbra Natasha made a superb save to deny Alupo’s effort from close range in the 10th minute.
From that point, Lady Cardinals grew in confidence having a fair share of possession in the game but the hosts’ backline were equal to the challenge.
Experienced forward Alupo doubled the hosts’ lead as the Lady Cardinals struggled to find their footing away from home.
Ten minutes later, Kwikiriza sealed the hosts’ victory in their backyard as the fans erupted in applause, cheers and jubilation.
Lady Cardinals made a double change introducing Sandra Kisakye and Meble Kusasira for Winfred Atimango and Peace Aloyo.
After the loss, UCU Lady Cardinals lie ninth (relegation zone) on the log with 14 points in 16 games.
