When it comes to casual footwear, particularly sneakers, the options are numerous. Footwear should always be fashionable and comfortable so that you can move freely throughout the day.

One can get a pair of nice, casual sneakers from a variety of top global brands, like Adidas, Nike, and Vans, and then experience it for yourself. There are many different colors and designs available.

Initially, sneakers were designed for purposes of exercising, with different sports having their own design, like basketball or tennis. However, it is hard to avoid the temptation of buying very cheap sneakers from reputable brands that claim their material.

A person who is knowledgeable about the history of sneakers, collects and trades sneakers as a hobby, and also owns multiple pairs of shoes is known as a sneakerhead.

Basic sneaker rules you need to know

It does not matter what kind of sneakers one settles to buy; these are some of the basic principles for wearing them:

Always buy sneakers that match or suit your current wardrobe. Many people rush to buy the latest design of sneakers as soon as they hit the market, only to make a mistake when it comes to designing them. Always select items that complement what you already have on hand. Avoid choosing a pair that will require you to reorder your entire wardrobe.

Try to wear them on the right occasions. Avoid looking too casual; you can get away with wearing them for any off-duty outfit, but some casual suits are not meant for occasions like weddings.

Keep your sneakers clean. No matter how cool they may look, once they are not clean, they lose the way that they will look when you wear them. The proper way to maintain them is through the washing of the laces, especially the white ones, to eliminate bad odor, brush the outsoles, and try to use shoe trees and sneaker shields.

The luxury sneakers are from high-end brands such as Tom Ford, Saint Laurent, and Lanvin. They are typically made of suede or leather. For this look, pair the sneakers with tailored trousers, slim denim, or, in some cases, casual unstructured suiting.

Due to their weight, try to avoid wearing them with shorts. To complete the style, choose simple t-shirts and polos. You can wear a shirt with a jacket, a slim or knit tie, and occasionally slim denim for a more distinctive appearance.

Nike Air Max, Reebok Pump, and Jordans, among others, are examples of classic sports sneakers. These were previously only used for sports, but they can now be kept in a home shoe collection. The key to these sneakers is to find a pair that complements your style and then purchase multiple pairs in various colors.

You can wear them with chino shorts to look like both a regular citizen and a musician. You can always match it to the color of your chosen shirt for this one.

Nike, Adidas, and Puma make modern sports sneakers, but they have a modern style and shape. These sneakers cannot be worn with tracksuit pants. They have a sporty and bulky appearance.

To achieve this look, choose slim nudie chinos or elastic cuff variations, or keep it sporty and casual with t-shirts only.

So, the next time you plan to leave your house, please consider matching your sneakers with the appropriate outfit.
