In today’s world, society has managed to beat gender stereotypes, creating an equal gender society. The biased mindset of women belonging in the kitchen is so long forgotten.

Today, women have been able to take on the same responsibilities and priorities as men and be equally good at them, or even better.

The life of females in sports

It is at such a time that women in sports are now respected and given a platform to chase their goals. This increase of ladies in sport comes as an effort of changes undertaken in schools in the 1970s. The gap between men and women in sports is therefore narrowing down slowly as the years progress.

Looking at a few female basketball players within the university, Sera Precious Yaweh and Muhawe Yvonne Edith share their experiences of being female basketball players in today’s world.
