    NBL 2023-24: UCU Canons fall to Kampala Rocket in tight duel

    UCU Canons 67-70 Kampala Rockets

    UCU Canons fell to Kampala Rockets in a 67-70 loss in the National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

    It was a painful and close loss and Canons will blame themselves for failing to manage the game well in the period of the clash.

    On the other hand, Kampala Rockets registered their third victory in a row showing how much the team has greatly improved.

    The new signings Luak Ruai and Christian Ndibu were instrumental on the floor as Kampala Rockets squeezed past UCU Canons.

    Kampala Rockets clearly showed their intentions in the game leading the first quarter 19-10 before going into the long break with a two-point lead (35-33).

    At the end of the third quarter, UCU Canons took a narrow lead (53-50) but Kampala Rockets regained their lead at the end.

    UCU’s scoring board was led by Ibanda Lwabaga (17), Jerry Samson Kayanga (15) and Jimmy Otim (11 while Peter Sifuma pulled down

    For Kampala Rockets Puati Ozias Kikomba, Kur Garang, Ruai Luak and Christian Ndibu dropped double digits 16,14,14,14 and 14 respectively.
