    UCU Canons 56-80 City Oilers

James Okello dropped 21 points as the City Oilers secured an 80-56 victory against the UCU Canons in the National Basketball League at YMCA Court on Monday.

Okello had such a good day in office, pulling off a number of shots outside the paint and also pulling down 11 rebounds.

Tonny Drileba and Titus Lual added 14 and 11, respectively, as the City Oilers humbled the Canons on Good Monday with good basketball.

For the Canons, only Peter Sifuna and Joel Kayira got into double digits, with each dropping 11 points before Kayira added 10 rebounds.

The defending champion City Oilers opened a five-point lead (20-15), showing hunger for victory in the thrilling game.

The UCU Canons greatly improved their craft in the second quarter, limiting the Oilers to 15 buckets as they bagged one more (16-15), though they were trailing by four at the break.

Coming from the long break, the Oilers finally found their clicking pattern as they extended the lead to 14 points.

The Canons ran out of steam in the last period before the Oilers grilled to a 24-point beating in front of a fair crowd.
