KIU Titans 83-52 UCU Canons
The KIU Titans secured an 83-52 victory in the National Basketball League encounter played at Lugogo Arena.
The Titans kicked off well, taking the game to the Canons, and the impressive play guided them to a ten-point lead (25-15) at the end of the first quarter.
By halftime, the Titans lead was extended to 17 points (41-24). The performance was also highlighted with great moves that sent the crowd on their feet.
Coming from the locker rooms, the Titans took the second gear as they widened the lead to 36 points (64-38), planning to put the icing on the cake in the final block.
The Mukono-based side was limited to only 14 points as KIU cruised to its first-season victory. It was a 31-point victory as the Titans saw off the Canons.
UCU was poor with the long shots, converting only five of the 25 attempts, while the Titans converted 11 of the 30 throws.
Once again, Edgar Munaba posted a double double with 21 points and 17 rebounds, while Kasereka Tembo added 23 points and seven rebounds.
Only Jerry Samson Kayanja and Marvin Jesse Okurut managed to score a double figure, dropping 10 points each.
In their next fixture, the UCU Canons will take on D-Mark Power on Friday, February 9 at Lugogo Arena.
