The National Basketball League playoffs are going into a forced break and will resume on Sunday, July 28.
The break is due to the Gazelle’s 10-day training camp in Germany, which will run until Thursday, July 25th.
The schedule has been impacted as some players and coaches participating in the playoffs are with the Gazelles.
Four members of the UCU Lady Canons are with the Gazelles squad in Germany. Players such as Sheilah Lamunu, Shakira Nanvubya, and Bridget Aber, as well as the coach, Nicholas Natuhereza, traveled for the training camp.
The UCU Canons will wait longer to play their second game against the KCCA Panthers since their head coach, Natuhereza, is not around.
Two quarterfinal series were hardly affected by the trip, thus being played on Wednesday, and the City Oilers as well as the Namuwongo Blazers sealed semifinal slots.
UCU Canons lead the best of three series ahead of the Panthers after winning game one, while UCU Lady Canons are in the driving seat ahead of the Magic Stormers.
