Brandan Katushabe, a student of Uganda Christian University(UCU), pursuing bachelor of Laws is striving to avail information on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) through the Own Your Future Initiative (OYFI).

A red-dirty Sino truck came speeding on the dry tarmac road as it headed for the Jinja Highway. Dust covered the atmosphere for about 35 seconds, like an early morning fog. No one would see the other side of the road.

It is estimated that per capita, the generation of garbage is one kilogram per day, making it 1500 tons of garbage per year. Despite the annual budget of about 20 billion shillings, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) can only dispose of 40-50 percent of this.

Asked how she felt about this win, Ndyemanya said this was a turning point in her life. “This is a huge opportunity for me. It reminds me to be intentional with everything and that there is a future. I am so grateful to God for this opportunity, “she added.

Johan Henjik and Jaap Mannes from the School of Business, Marketing and Finance at Hanze recently introduced the strategy of student-centered learning, which aims at developing the learners’ autonomy and independence. The student-centered learning approach offers students the chance to choose what they learn and how they learn it, thereby becoming decision-makers in the learning process.
