The Uganda Christian University (UCU) School of Law held a public lecture on freedom of expression on February 11, that was sought to challenge students of law to reflect on the legal concept and its ability in the present political dispensation.
The dialogue, which happened at Nkoyoyo Hall was graced by prominent media persons in Uganda, namely, Solomon Sserwanja, the Executive Director of the Africa Institute of Investigative Journalism, and Ben Mwine, a renowned media guru.
The Dean of the School, Dr. Peter Mutesasira joined the panel to debate/ discuss the theme “The right to freedom of expression and assembly: Are we moving forward or backward?”. Israel Kisakye captured some of the moments on camera.
