Several student associations on the Uganda Christian University campus have held elections. The annual event saw a significant turnout and spirited campaigns as students vied for leadership positions. The Media Link Association, Law Society, and Business Society were among those that got new leadership.

The Media Link Association which held its elections on July 18 saw Laura Nataline Nagaba, a second-year journalism and communication student, become the new president. Nagaba in her acceptance speech said, “I am thrilled to lead our association and bring innovative media projects to life. Together, we will enhance our digital presence and create more hands-on opportunities for our members.”

He said, “Our goal is to guarantee that every law student has the resources and assistance they need to thrive, be it academically or professionally. Our goals will include developing a thorough support network for our members and fortifying our relationships with nearby legal practices.”

For the Business Society elections were held on July 15.  Derrick Basaza Nduwayo, a second-year student studying business administration was elected as its new president.

“I am committed to providing our members with the tools and opportunities necessary to thrive in the business world,” he said in his victory address, adding, “Our priorities will be to plan more business-to-business partnerships, entrepreneurial seminars such as the Business Expo, and networking events.
