The Uganda Christian University (UCU) Trinity semester has resumed. The students open their bags to pull out the bank slips and passbooks needed for registration.
The students’ bated breath at the learning commons in the Hamu Mukasa Library, waiting to be cleared, is an indication that the Trinity Semester has kicked off.
The different university offices are stationed in the library and have created a one-stop-center for students to clear everything at once rather than moving up and down.
Kagaba Desire, a data administrator under the Directorate of Academics, says that the registration process is going on very well without any hiccups and that, on average, 200 students are expected to be cleared on a daily basis.
“We haven’t met any challenges so far. Students are registering and we are going to station in the library for 2 weeks to enable our students clear at once,” he said. “The process is both online and physical, so we are helping our students in every way possible.
Joshua Wekonga, a first-year student pursing a Bachelors of International Relations and Governance, is quite excited to aggressively start the semester, as he articulates in the video.
Stephanus Galinnya, the Learning Commons Co-ordinator in the Hamu Mukasa Library, believes that as the University administration, they are ready to kickoff the semester.
