Uganda Christian University (UCU) Arua campus is set to launch a fund-raising drive towards the establishment of the Bishop Orombi ICT complex project on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the campus.
The complex is projected to cost Ugx12 billion shillings. The construction of this building will be done in two phases.
The building will house lecture rooms, ICT laboratories, an e-learning room, a center for business incubation and innovation, a 200-person conference room, and offices.
According to Rev. Tabi Julius, the director of Arua Campus, the reason why they want this project is because it is very important to Arua Campus. “The university facilities are very few and are becoming strained by the population of students,” said Tabi.
The university has put together a team of stakeholders (the executive committee) to brainstorm, plan, and spearhead the process of resource mobilization towards the construction of this complex.
The committee for this fund-raising drive is under the chairmanship of Mr. Joshua Anguyo.
