As per netball, the stage is now set for a nail-biting final between UCU and Victoria University. Get ready for a heart-pounding showdown on the court tomorrow!c

Netball Glory: The UCU Angels Soar to Victory

The netball semifinal clash between the UCU Angels and Nkumba University was nothing short of spectacular. The game opened with UCU taking a commanding lead of 20-4 at the end of the first quarter, setting the tone for their dominance throughout the match. The final quarter saw UCU extend their lead to 67:35.

However, James Nelson Bogere, the head coach of the UCU Angels, emphasized that victory was not a given and credited his team’s hard work and dedication. “It wasn’t obvious, but my girls worked hard. They faced pressure as the hosts, yet their extensive training and self-motivation were instrumental in securing the win,” Bogere stated.

The netball game witnessed UCU’s strategic brilliance, opting for high throws that outplayed Nkumba’s strategy of low throws. Despite a spirited comeback attempt by Nkumba in the fourth quarter, UCU had already secured their victory, highlighting their resilience and adaptability on the court.

Volleyball Triumph: UCU Doves Secure Final Berth

Meanwhile, on the volleyball court, the UCU Doves soared to victory against Kampala International University (KIU), securing a spot in the AUUS volleyball finals. The Doves, backed by enthusiastic home support, outclassed KIU in a compelling showdown that ended with a decisive 3-1 victory.

Despite facing a setback in losing a set for the first time in the tournament, the UCU Doves exhibited dominance throughout the match. Despite the setback in dropping a set, the UCU Doves are gearing up for a final showdown against Bugema University, with Captain Angiro and Elly Nanguma expected to lead the charge for UCU.

    BASKETBALL

When it comes to basketball, the UCU Lady Canons take on Victoria University in a thrilling showdown of the finals tomorrow.

Tonight, UCU canons kicked out Nkumba University in a hard-fought basketball match, securing a spot in the finals with a 90-60 victory.
