    UCU 81 – 47 Nkumba.

The UCU Lady Canons extended their winning streak in dominant fashion, beating Nkumba Lady Mariners 81-47 in a National Basketball League fixture held at YMCA Courts Wandegeya on April 21st afternoon.

UCU started strong, winning the first quarter 20-9 before turning up the intensity in the second quarter with a 20-5 performance, taking a commanding 40-14 lead at half-time.

Forward Martina Anyango led the early charge with 16 points and 7 rebounds in the first half—one more than the entire Nkumba team at that point.

In the third quarter, UCU extended their dominance with a 20-10 scoreline, powered by debutant Sharifa Nalwadda, who added 6 points and 7 rebounds.

Despite Nkumba edging the final quarter 22-21, the result had already been sealed. Sylvia Nakituka finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead all scorers.

The Lady Canons showed great depth in their rotations and composure throughout, they will face JT Lady Jaguars on 23rd April at Lugogo Arena.
