UCU School of Business hosts Spirit-filled worship night

The Uganda Christian University (UCU) School of Business hosted a worship night at Nkoyoyo Multipurpose Hall, which was attended by a number of students and other staff members. The Nkyoyo hall was packed to capacity, and the topic of the day was “True Worship,” as quoted in John 4:24. According to a few students that attended the worship night,

Linda Nobert, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student, said he learned about the worship night through a friend, Oluka Timothy, a course-mate, who emailed him the poster inviting students to the worship night. “This was such an awesome, spirit-filled experience; personally, I felt God’s presence, and I was honoured to experience “real worship,” as the subject suggested.

The worship team was incredible, and they truly worshipped God from the depths of their being, as I witnessed, and I also observed individuals in the crowd on their knees pleading and crying out to God. “I must say that the University should always organise such Worship nights by different schools at least every beginning or end of the month because it was such an amazing worship night organised by the school of business,” said Norbert, a student in his third year first semester at the school of business.

Ldya, another student from the school of business, said she learned about the worship night via posters posted on several campus walls, and she couldn’t afford to miss such a night arranged by her school. “Because it was one of a kind, this was one of the best worship nights I’ve ever attended at Uganda Christian University.” People were so happy that everyone knew at least what they had come to do, and on a scale of one to ten, they were perfect.

I must say 80% came with an intention to seek the face of God in true worship because you could see how people were on their knees worshipping God. People turned up in large numbers, and I must say it was the best compared to the one I have ever attended,” said Ldya from the school of business, doing Business Finance in her second semester.

Shammah Mukuzar, a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Media, and Communication (BAJC) student, said she learned about the worship night through various WhatsApp groups she is a member of, and she was excited about it because it is one of the things she enjoys the most. “The worship night was so spirit-filled because my life had changed.” I didn’t live the way I came, but something about me changed, and that was all I needed at the time.

The preacher talked about true worship and was encouraging us to worship God in truth and in spirit, as quoted from John 4:24. I would really say that the University should keep organising such kinds of worship nights because they are so impactful in the lives of students”, said Shammah from the school of journalism, media, and mass communication.

Ayebare Grace, a business school student in her second year of HUM, described the entire mob as “exciting,” from the praise and worship team to the entire congregation. However, the turnout was minimal in comparison to the law school’s past semester’s legal love fellowship, which drew a large crowd. “People showed up in mob numbers in this one as well, but this one was more spirit-filled,” remarked Grace from the business school.

Madam Lorraine, the patron of the business fellowship, introduced the whole team of the business fellowship and later thanked them for the great work done. She also thanked so many of the students for turning up in large numbers. “Better is one day in the presence of God than a thousand days in the world,” said Madam Lorraine.

Rev.Eng. Paul Waswa Sembiro also hinted that “better is one day in the presence of God than a thousand days in the world,” as Madam Lorraine had quoted earlier on. “Thanks so much to the organisation committee for organising such a wonderful night of fellowship. My big appreciation also goes to the students for turning out in large numbers, for it’s such a good thing to see young people serving and seeking the face of God so wholeheartedly. May God bless you all, and to the preacher, may God bless and continue to use you as you continue to teach his word to his children. May God guide you all as you go to your respective residence (please move in a group or with a friend when going back) “,said Rev.Paul Waswa Sembiro, the Chaplian of the business school.
