    A letter to the finalists

Dear finalists, first off, I would like to welcome you all back from the festive season. Now is the time however, to put that enjoyment at the back of your minds and focus on your studies as this is your final chapter at campus. You can not let all the previous years’ hard work that you have achieved from your first semester of the first year go down the drain.

I know it’s nerve wracking because there are many people looking up to you, so it feels like there is no room for failure but remember, if a cat wishes to become a lion it has to lose its appetite for rats. To achieve greatness you have to push yourself to the limit, you have to cut off whatever is holding you back and focus.

One thing I encourage you to always do is put God first before anything because even the Bible in Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will bless you plans”, because “If the Lord is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31.

So, I implore you all to always put God first as you run this final lap at campus.

Remember however, that work without play makes Jack a dull boy. I know education can become overwhelming, so please do not drown yourselves in your books. Your brain just like any other muscle needs some exercise and rest. Take some time and have some fun, get a hobby, play a sport like football or basketball, or go swimming; whatever it is, just take some time to rest and have some fun.

We are proud of you and how far you have come, and wish you the best. May our good Lord see you through your last semester.
