Re: two activities University students indulge in when they are out of the compass premises.
Dear sir,
There are a lot of activities university students indulge in after they are out of the university premises. Though I am choosing to focus on only two that they have dubbed “ enjoyment and cool” but in my perspective I think it’s expensive as it costs their education and health.
These are the two common activities that I have noticed all students from various universities indulge in when they are not at compass attending lectures. These include :
Partying: this involves going to different clubs with their friends to have “ enjoyment”. Some of the clubs include Mango Groove, Casablanca name it. The partying/clubbing begins from Wednesday to Sunday then Monday they are back for lectures.
Usage of drugs and alcohol: these include alcohol drinks like Smirnoff , Marijuana, cigarettes, bond 7 and so forth. Most of the students learn to use these drugs and alcohol in the different clubs or from their friends back in their hostels, this kind of interaction is what they refer to as “ cool”.
I understand that these are common social activities even in the context of the world but I believe this kind of “enjoyment and coolness” is expensive for the students because it costs some their education or shortens their health. I recommend that if they really want to continue with such activities then they should ensure to keep their education as their first priority and do everything in the right amount as the old saying goes: too much of anything is bad.
Yours sincerely,
Nicole Nankya.
