The final-year art students showcased their artistic talent and professional readiness during the four-day exhibition that happened from 30th March to 2nd April 2026 in Uganda Christian University’s department of visual arts and design.
A section of Guild leaders at Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono Campus have committed to giving their top up tuition, to students struggling to complete paying tuition fees. The leaders pledged their willingness to support struggling students during the two days leaders’ orientation programme that was held at UCU Mukono Campus for Guildleaders from both the Mukono and Kampala campuses
Attendance is visible, but preparation is not. Lecturers see who shows up, but they do not see who revised beforehand, who skimmed notes at midnight, or who ignored the course outline entirely.
Kadaga pledged to address the challenges facing international students (East Africans), who often struggle when processing visas to travel and study in Uganda. She added that “I’m planning to travel to Kinshasa, and I will engage the minister of EAC affairs in the Democratic Republic of Congo about such an issue so that we can find a solution.”
It was a simple request. Patience Ankunda was asked to help start a tech club at Uganda Christian University (UCU). At the time, she was a second-year student of Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Uganda’s Makerere University. In an effort to help girls stay in school, the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Ruth Nkoyoyo Wellness Center, Hope of House Foundation Uganda, and UCU Mental Health Club staged a “Pad a Girl” program in partnership with the UCU Para Counselors Association. Counselors planned a visit to remote locations on June 16th, one of which was Buikwe District, which is one of the areas most affected by females who have little awareness about menstruation and access to pads. The visits focused on three schools, two of which were elementary schools.

Due to late registration, I could not apply for any medical course at any university in the country. This had been my long-cherished dream: joining the university and becoming a medical professional. I was left in shuttles and open to any course that my combination of biology, chemistry, mathematics, and information technology (BCM/IT) would offer.
