A section of Guild leaders at Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono Campus have committed to giving their top up tuition, to students struggling to complete paying tuition fees. The leaders pledged their willingness to support struggling students during the two days leaders’ orientation programme that was held at UCU Mukono Campus for Guildleaders from both the Mukono and Kampala campuses
Attendance is visible, but preparation is not. Lecturers see who shows up, but they do not see who revised beforehand, who skimmed notes at midnight, or who ignored the course outline entirely.
28th Guild Government has seen an increase in its budget compared to those of previous Guild Governments’ budgets. The document that was presented by the Minister of Finance, Hon. The Rev. Dr. Christopher Yikii Agatre has the distinction of laying the foundation for the Uganda Christian University (UCU) campus in his native Arua. Agatre, born in Arua in 1962, set the pace for building the institution when he was appointed as director 14 years ago. In this top administrative position from 2009 to 2014, he oversaw the regional campus’ overall management and operations.

Vincent Kisenyi, the director of academic affairs at UCU, highlighted the project’s unique approach, emphasising the fusion of classwork with hands-on, practical experiences. “Students are able to engage in renewable energy businesses while conserving the climate,” added Kisenyi.
Today, Uganda Christian University (UCU) officially closed the highly successful DALILA project after three years since it was launched. This was during a closing conference held at the UCU Main Campus in Mukono, which was graced by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration, Mr.David Mugawe.
