The Uganda Christian University (UCU) School of Business has held its annual entrepreneurship exhibition at the Business Incubation Center next to the Honours College.
Students exhibited different business ideas in the form of Products and services. They included; foods, interior design, cosmetics, clothing, tech-based products and services, and re-useable energy products. The event is part of students’ coursework.
Florence Wanyenze, the chief coordinator of the incubator training told the Standard Digital that this is an essential program that grooms the entrepreneurial capacity of Business students.
“This helps our students get exposure since we train them from the incubator on different things, ‘’ said Wenyeze.
She also revealed that the School established a business outlet in Ntawo- Mukono Municipality for its fresh graduates to sell their products for the first six months after graduation.
Lauryn Natukwase, a finalist pursuing a Bachelor’s of Entrepreneurship and Project Planning said she finds the incubation training relevant and plans to run her own business after graduation.
“I have gained and learned a lot from the incubation training. In fact, I am planning to continue with events management businesses because I have realized that I have the potential,” said Natukwase.
The annual entrepreneurship exhibition is an event that crowns two months of entrepreneurship training to which students at the School are subjected in their final year.
