In a scintillating game of play, UCU’s Kazibwe Solomon Trevor managed to see off the opposition of Kyambogo’s Lukoda Fahad. He won both sets, 6 to 1 and 6 to 4, respectively.
This semifinal clash was the first of the two games from which we would have to determine the finalists. Kazibwe is for now firmly put with both legs in the final.
The other semifinal clash is between Makerere University Business School’s Jurua Arnold and the Makerere University danger boy, Mwisuke Joel. The winner of the two will join Kazibwe in the final of the men’s singles.
In the ladies singles category, Atieno Patience powered to the finals to defeat Musimenta Daphine 6-1 and 6-1, respectively, to win the first two sets.
Atieno will await the winner of the game between Kakayenga Jovia and Owomuhangi Christine, who are currently playing in the semifinals.
Kazibwe will have to bring on his A game in the final if he aims at completely winning the sets.
