UCU Canons head coach Nicholas Natuhereza anticipates a better second round in the ongoing National Basketball League.

The UCU Canons concluded the first round in the fifth position with 18 points gathered in 11 games.

“Hopefully we can build on the earlier performances and we can be better in the second round,” he stated.

“Looking at the four games that we lost earlier, there are team that we should be able to beat. When we improve on one or two things then we can surely get better,” he added.

Statistically, UCU have been hot and cold registering seven wins and four loses but the gaffer stated that he cannot complain much.

“I think there is no need to complain much. Of the four loses there are games we could get back. Its important to take care of business in the second round.”

“I think we are capable of winning more and that should help us to see where we are going into the playoffs.”

The Mukono based side will kick start the second round as they take on the KIU Titans on Friday, April 19 at Lugogo Arena.
