    NBL Playoffs: UCU Canons’ Opponents Announced

    The FUBA National Basketball League has released the fixtures for the 2024 playoffs, setting the stage for the battle to crown this year’s champions.

    In the regular season, both the UCU Canons and the Lady Canons ended their campaigns on a high note with wins against Ndejje Angels and KIU Rangers, respectively. The UCU Canons finished in fifth place, while the Lady Canons secured second place in the women’s division.

    The playoffs, set to begin this Wednesday, will feature a best-of-three format for the quarterfinals, requiring teams to secure two victories to advance.

    The UCU Canons are set to face off against the KCCA Panthers, who finished the season in fourth place. Meanwhile, the Lady Canons will take on the Magic Stormers, who concluded the regular season in seventh position.

    UCU Coach Natuhereza Nicholas comments on the congested fixtures.

    “We are happy for the fixtures they are tricky ties and congested but we look forward to them and we are ready.”

    The winner between UCU canons and panthers will be facing the winner between City Oilers and Kampala Rockets in the semi-finals.

    Fans can expect intense matchups as the teams compete for a spot in the semifinals and move closer to the coveted championship title.
