Uganda Christian University, UCU Angels, book a spot for the netball category in the 20th Association of Uganda University Sports, AUUS Games 2025 by defeating Makerere University Women’s team by 43-23.
UCU Angels with a margin of 20 points booked their netball final spot as they outshone Makerere University on a slippery Court after a heavy downpour in Mukono in the afternoon hours.
They defeated Makerere University in their second game of the day in a continuity showcase of their strength and resilience, having edged St. Lawrence University, SLAU 75-42 in the quarter finals.
Led by their goal shooter Shamirah Ayikulu, UCU Angels continue to dominate this edition’s netball category in a continuous quest for the netball trophy, having won it in 2023 when the tournament last happened.
The UCU Angels now live in preparation for a grand finale for the netball category slated for tomorrow, as the five-day tournament comes to an end, registering an attendance of 2500. athletes, 22 Universities participating in 19 sports disciplines.
