Uganda Christian University badminton team delivered a dominant display against Kyambogo University at the ongoing AUUS Games, recording a clean 3–0 win at the Nkoyoyo Hall.
UCU set the tone in the singles category, where their players controlled every rally and limited Kyambogo to single-digit scores. The first singles match ended 21–5 in UCU’s favor, before another convincing 21–9 win extended the lead. UCU maintained the same intensity in the remaining singles ties, posting 21–4 and 21–3 victories to leave Kyambogo with little room to respond.
The doubles matches followed a similar pattern. UCU pairs showed strong coordination and sharp finishing, taking the first doubles game 21–5. The second doubles match ended 21–2, sealing the tie in emphatic fashion.
With wins across both singles and doubles, UCU completed a 3–0 sweep over Kyambogo University.
The result strengthened UCU’s position in the badminton competition as they continue their AUUS Games campaign on home soil. Matches at Nkoyoyo have drawn steady attention as teams battle for an early advantage in the tournament.
