    UCU dominates E.A University Games in Maseno, Kenya

    Uganda Christian University (UCU) delivered a spectacular performance at the East Africa University Games in Maseno, Kenya, solidifying its dominance across multiple disciplines and bringing home an impressive collection of gold medals.

    In volleyball, both the men’s and women’s teams showcased exceptional prowess. The UCU men’s volleyball team secured a commanding 3-0 victory over hosts Maseno University in the finals, earning them a well-deserved gold medal. Not to be outdone, the UCU women’s volleyball team dominated Kenyatta University with another 3-0 sweep to claim the title of East African University champions.

    The UCU Lady Canons also emerged victorious in basketball, delivering a stellar performance against Makerere University Business School (MUBS) with a decisive 45-28 win, earning the team the gold medal. On the men’s side, UCU edged Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) 52-50 in a nail-biting final, cementing their place as champions.

    In netball, UCU triumphed in a closely contested final against Kampala University, clinching gold with a 37-34 victory.

    The games in Maseno, Kenya, showcased UCU’s athletic depth and determination, with the teams excelling in every sport they participated in. The athletes’ stellar performances brought pride to the university and demonstrated their dominance in the region.

    As the games conclude, UCU’s achievements reflect not only their competitive edge but also their dedication to excellence in sports. This remarkable performance has further cemented UCU’s reputation as a powerhouse in East African university sports.
