The UCU Lady Canons showcased a stellar performance to secure a 45-28 victory over Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Maseno University in Kenya during the 13th East African University Games basketball final, claiming the gold medal in style.

The game, held at Maseno University, saw the Lady Canons dominate from the onset, displaying superior teamwork, skill, and defense. Their relentless pursuit of excellence ensured that MUBS had little chance to mount a comeback.

Led by [insert key player or captain’s name if known], the Lady Canons maintained their composure throughout the match, effectively shutting down MUBS’ offensive efforts while capitalizing on fast breaks and well-coordinated plays.

This victory cements UCU Lady Canons’ position as one of Uganda’s top university basketball teams, a testament to their dedication and the guidance of their coaching staff.

Speaking after the game, Nakato Caroline expressed her joy, saying, “We worked hard for this moment. And I want to thank our coaches who helped us remain focused.”
