UCU Lady Cardinals 3-1 She Kasese

The UCU Lady Cardinals secured a commanding 3-1 victory against She Kasese in the FUFA Women’s Elite League on November 30th, 2024. The win, achieved at their home ground in Mukono, marked a strong recovery from their recent 2-1 defeat to She Geme in Kichamba.
During the game, She Kasese took an early lead, shocking the home crowd.
However, UCU’s captain, Catherine Nakiridde, brought the Lady Cardinals level before halftime with a stunning conversion from a direct free kick.
The second half saw the Lady Cardinals assert dominance. Goalkeeper Akayo Anitah displayed remarkable vision, launching a precise assist to striker Jovia Nakagolo, who slotted home to give UCU the lead.
Later, winger Bridget Mbwali sealed the victory with a well-placed strike, ensuring all three points for the Mukono-based side.
The win keeps UCU unbeaten at home in the league and moves them to nine points after five games.
Head coach Collin Ahumuza praised the team’s resilience and attacking prowess, calling the result a crucial boost ahead of their next fixture.
The Lady Cardinals will travel to Bushenyi to face Royal Dreamers WFC in their final match before the league takes a break.
