“I had my first piece of writing published at age 12, but this is the first time I’ve talked about my lifelong career as a writer,” Huston-Holm said to a group of 12 gathered on a rainy Aug. 8 afternoon in the second-floor, writing center area of the Ham Mukasa Library. “I’m much more comfortable getting stories about other people.”

Relying on God, Mugabe persevered to graduate with time and technical obstacles – both before and after Covid-restriction challenges. Mugabe says that in his first semester, he could not do his assignments on time due to the fact that he did not have a laptop and a smartphone. He borrowed a laptop from a friend to accomplish the coursework and assignments, but not always on a deadline.

A friend was concerned that her child was involved in a courtship with a gentleman she was not comfortable with, and she did not know how to share this with her daughter. As we discussed, I asked her how often she sat with her daughter and other children to talk about relationship issues.
