Most employers are hesitant to hire university graduates because many have theoretical knowledge but lack practical experience. This is because of the extensive theoretical classes students have throughout their study time. The partnership between Uganda Christian University (UCU) and MTN Uganda seeks to educate and prepare UCU BSCS students.
A team of five students from Uganda Christian University (UCU) have come together to improve the educational experience of visually impaired students under a project dubbed “Gen-visual.”
On February 26th, 2022, an historic event took place at Bishop Senior Secondary School Mukono’s playground as Rev. Canon Enos Kitto Kagodo was installed as the fifth Bishop of Mukono Diocese. Uganda Christian University (UCU) is set to resume its highly anticipated inter-faculty football tournament in 2023 after a two-year hiatus due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The tournament, last played in 2019, will feature participation from multiple faculties across the university, including men’s football, women’s netball, and both men’s and women’s basketball.
Since her father’s passing, Namiiro’s mother has been the sole breadwinner, making it difficult for her to support Namiiro and her siblings. Although Namiiro had no hopes of continuing her education after completing her senior year vacation due to her humble background, her mother encouraged her to enroll in university, and they searched for possible ways to pay for her tuition.
