By Derrick Brian MudukuThe National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) has hired some 50 interns from Uganda Christian University (UCU) to help in processing and issuing of the national identity cards (ID) to students and neighbors of the university. The interns started the assignment with hands-on training for the first two weeks of December 2021 at the old football pitch on the UCU Mukono campus. After the training, the program is expected to run for three months. The last weekend of the month culminated into a great sports fest. The quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations took place, the Australian open came to its conclusion while the UCU Canons won another 3×3 tournament as their preparations continue for the University world cup in October. These are the moments of the week.

n 2017, when Hope Kyomugisha got admitted to Uganda Christian University (UCU), she was not sure how she would pay her tuition fees. With hope and a prayer, she made the trip to the university to pick up her admission letter.
