Uganda Christian University (UCU) delivered a spectacular performance at the East Africa University Games in Maseno, Kenya, solidifying its dominance across multiple disciplines and bringing home an impressive collection of gold medals.
The UCU Lady Canons showcased a stellar performance to secure a 45-28 victory over Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Maseno University in Kenya during the 13th East African University Games basketball final, claiming the gold medal in style.
The UCU Lady Cardinals team secured an impressive 3-0 win over Maseno University, with Jovia Nakagolo netting two goals and Jane Nantongo adding a third. However, the UCU men’s football team faced heartbreak in the quarterfinals, drawing 0-0 against Kampala University (KU) in regulation time but losing 5-4 in a penalty shootout. The Lady Cardinals are set to battle it out with Makerere University.
UCU Canons fell to Kampala Rockets in a 67-70 loss in the National Basketball League encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
