UCU Lady Canons continued their perfect start to the National Basketball League season with a 51–34 win over KCCA Leopards on Friday night at Abja Parks Naalya.

UCU opened strongly, with guard Nakituuka Silvia sinking three early 3-pointers to guide her side to a 15–7 first-quarter lead. KCCA tightened up in the second quarter, limiting UCU to only 5 points in the first seven minutes, but the Lady Canons held on for a 25–18 halftime advantage.

The third quarter belonged to UCU. The Leopards scored only 3 points in the first eight minutes and managed just 5 in the entire quarter as UCU pushed the lead to 33–23.

Forward Sylvia Nantongo led with a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds. Nakituuka added 14 points, Shillah Lamunu 11, and Martina Anyango contributed 8 points and 12 rebounds. KCCA’s Margaret Bagaala scored a team-high 17 points, while Asinah Kabendera grabbed 12 rebounds.

The Lady Canons have now won three straight games, following earlier victories over Angels and Magic Stormers.
