Uganda Christian University (UCU) has secured a second-place overall finish at the 13th East Africa University Games. Held in Uganda, the biennial event attracted fierce competition among regional universities, with UCU amassing a total of 14 medals, including 6 gold, 5 silver, and 3 bronze.
Uganda Christian University (UCU) delivered a spectacular performance at the East Africa University Games in Maseno, Kenya, solidifying its dominance across multiple disciplines and bringing home an impressive collection of gold medals.
In a tense final all-Uganda affair in Maseno University Kenya at the East Africa University Games, Uganda Christian University (UCU) Lady Cardinals clinched the silver medal after falling to Makerere University in a penalty shootout following a tense 0-0 draw in regulation time.
At this point in the competition, there will be two legs instead of the single game that was played in the rounds of 32, 16, and quarterfinals.
UCU Cardinals captain Goefrey Gaganga was the star of the day scooping two individual awards before he was also named in the UFL team of the 2023/24 season.
