Ahead of the 2024 Buganda Masaza Cup, Kyaggwe Ssaza has completed the signing of three UCU Cardinals.

The three UCU Cardinals are midfielder Geoffrey Gagganga, forward Isaac Ofoyirwoth, and defender Godfrey Alijole.

The trio will be joining the university head coach, Jimmy Kintu Mwera, who is deputizing David Mutono at the Ssaza.

Ofoyrwoth opened up after putting pen to paper, revealing that he has joined Kyaggwe Ssaza because he wants to lift the trophy again.

“Of course, I have joined Kyaggwe (Ssaza) because I want to lift the trophy once again,” Ofoyirwoth stated.

“But also, I am in my last semester, which requires dedication, so going to further places would be straining, so I opted to stay close to school,” he added.

While lifting the trophy at Busiro Ssaza in 2023, the quick-footed forward scored four goals, helping the side win their maiden title.

Ofoyirwoth acknowledged the management’s hard work behind the curtain, highlighting that this might be the year to clinch glory.

“The management has done a good job behind the scenes, and the hard work is evident. My teammates and I will also work hard to see that fight for our team.”

“I know the team has not been performing well due to several reasons that I think are well known to the management, but I have a feeling this is the year to clinch glory,” he concluded.
