Known for her disciplinarian tendencies towards indecently dressed library users, Monica Ntege has announced that she will be retiring this year, on her birthday, April 23. She has worked at Uganda Christian University (UCU) since 1988.

“It has been an experience that has given me a lot of memories here at UCU,” she said, today during the weekly community worship service, held at Nyokoyo Hall.

Retiring Ntege accompanied by four of her colleagues performed Pastor Jeremiah Rankin’s hymn God Be with You Till We Meet Again.

The UCU Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Finance and Administration, Mr. David Mugawe, who was in attendance recounted to the congregation his experience with Ntege. The Rev. Eng. Paul Wasswa, the University chaplain, led the congregation in a heartwarming birthday song for Ntege.
