Seeking redemption after a blowout loss, the UCU Canons look to get back on track against Dmark Power in Friday’s NBL matchup at Lugogo.

The Canons will be coming from a 51-82 humiliation at Lugogo recently.

UCU Canons who started their first two games without their star player Jimmy Otim will be boosted by his return. He previously sustained an Injury during a training session ahead of the AUUS Games in Mukono last year.

UCU head Coach Nick Natuhereza expects a massive comeback for his side.

“We are trying to bounce back from the loss against the Titans. Anytime we have a game like that, things have to change, the idea is to play better on Friday and Sunday.”

“Of course it is tough but I think the most important thing is making sure that they’re ready to play. They play against pretty much the same teams and the same players. So I don’t think there’s not too much to worry about in terms of preparations.”

“Otim is back in full training and hopefully he will feature in the game on Friday or Sunday”, he added.

Meanwhile, Dmark Power will also be hunting for their maiden victory this season after they lost against defending champions City Oilers 38-73 at Lugogo.

In the ladies division, the UCU Lady Canons won their game against  YMCA Lady Hamstars to get back to winning ways with 41 points difference in a game that ended 50-91 to the ladies from Mukono
