UCU Lady Canons delivered a dominant performance to defeat fellow university side KIU Rangers 79–27 in a National Basketball League fixture held at Rezlife Lubowa.

Both the Main Campus and Kampala Campus of Uganda Christian University have been abuzz with bazaars, with vendors displaying different items for students and others to buy. The bazaar at the main campus is being held at the Guild Square and, unlike previous times, will run longer, for a period of three weeks.

Point guard Flore Dushime led the charge with his season-high 26 points and eight rebounds. He scored 12 of UCU’s 24 fourth-quarter points, taking control when it mattered most. Marvin Okurut added 21 points and six rebounds to support the effort.

Ritah Adero struck twice, while Jane Nantongo and Harriet Muwugumya added to the tally in a ruthless first-half display. Prossy Basemera sealed the win with a fifth goal in the 70th minute.

UCU made the brighter start. Martina Anyango set the tone early in the paint, combining with Sylvia Nantongo to give the Lady Canons a narrow 20–19 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The lecture is being conducted in line with the competence-based model of learning and evaluation. “It is a way of responding to innovative ways of teaching, assessment, and presenting knowledge.”

UCU made a bright start, taking the opening quarter 16–11 with controlled offense and strong defensive work. However, the Oilers responded in the second quarter, outscoring the Canons 18–12 to take a narrow halftime lead.
