The deceased was married to Mrs. Gladys Magezi, with whom they have five children.

He was consecrated the fifth Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese on January 8, 2017, at Emmanuel Cathedral, Kinyasano, Rukungiri District: He succeeded Rt. Rev Patrick Tugume-Tusingwire.
