The Uganda Christian University (UCU) Cardinals secured a crucial 2-0 victory over the University of Dodoma in the men’s football competition at the ongoing 14th East African University Games.

Usama Kayemba was the star of the match, netting both goals for UCU in a commanding performance. Kayemba opened the scoring in the first half, giving the Cardinals a 1-0 lead at halftime. His second goal came in the latter stages of the match, sealing the victory and ensuring the team’s progression to the next round.

The Cardinals displayed exceptional teamwork and tactical discipline throughout the match, with their defense keeping the University of Dodoma at bay.

The win keeps UCU Cardinals on track in their quest for the football crown at the games, which have attracted top teams from universities across the East African region.

As the competition intensifies, the Cardinals will look to maintain their momentum in the upcoming matches and bring glory to Uganda Christian University.
