Uganda Christian University has always been known for producing some of the best athletes who have gone on to do amazing work in the sports field whether professionally or administratively.
Uganda Christian University (UCU) Vice-Chancellor, Assoc. Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi alongside other University top officials has re-launched the construction of a state-of-the-art food court. The food court which will be situated within the premises of the UCU main campus was initially launched over a year ago when UCU signed a memorandum of understanding with Prime Media Network, the enterprise that will foresee the construction of the food court.
Kakembo Micheal, a 24-year-old Boda Boda rider based on a stage along Kayunga Road in Mukono is taking a nap on his bike in the afternoon. Clad in the trademark jacket that Boda riders in Uganda love to wear, I wonder how he can afford to keep himself so warm in such skyrocketing heat. I notice that his lips are cracked and dry. I decide to wake him up and I also realize that his eyes are red and teary. I start to imagine that he is probably sick. However, after engaging him in a casual conversation, he admits that he last had a meal the previous evening as he was observing the spiritual discipline of fasting and prayer.
Charity Bongomin, made history on Saturday, April 9 when she was crowned the first-ever winner of the Miss Uganda Christian University (UCU) pageant competitions beating other 35 contestants. Out of the applicants, 11 failed to meet the prerequisites while the rest who appeared before the six (6) member panel fell below the standards exhibited leading to a clearer win for Bongomin.
UCU Lady Canons defeated the KIU Rangers 68-67 in an overtime thriller on Wednesday night at the MTN Lugogo arena.
