On January 24, farmers around Mukono went to the Uganda Christian University (UCU) main campus with samples of their crops that were affected by pests and diseases. On any other day, these farmers would not have been welcomed with these damaged crops. However, on this Wednesday, in a collaborative exercise, UCU’s students of agriculture examined diseased crops to establish the different diseases while also offering some tried-and-tested solutions to the farmers.
Uganda Christian University (UCU) hosted a delegation of 60 bishops from the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Bishops. The bishops, on a visit to the UCU Main Campus in Mukono, engaged with university management, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi.
The lanky guard is part of the Silverbacks set up in Tunisia to represent the country in the upcoming Afrobasket qualifiers.
“I thank God that He has brought us together for this noble cause of saving mothers, and we reduce maternal death,” said Nsubuga.
Meble Kusasira’s brilliant header gave the hosts the lead in the 23rd minute. The Lady Cardinals held onto the narrow lead into the halftime break.

For 12 years, Precious Abangira Nimusiima didn’t know what it meant to sit inside a classroom in a formal school setting. From Primary Three until she completed secondary school, Abangira was studying from home under the tutorship of her parents. She has now joined Uganda Christian University (UCU) to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
But before the interruption, Musa Male fired the hosts ahead in the 18th minute before Geoffrey Gaganga leveled matters in the 30th minute of the game.
“The next generation will enjoy AI-powered adaptive learning platforms that will cater to specific individual needs, thereby addressing variations in learning pace and style. Intelligent tutoring systems will provide targeted support, identifying and remedying specific challenges faced by learners.” Isabirye commented.
The game failed to go past the 34th minute due to the soggy playing ground that hardly allowed a ball to move freely. The situation forced officials to interrupt play and call off the game.
