The Congolese students’ community at Uganda Christian University (UCU) had their fair say on what this independence means to them.

Some of the students at Uganda Christian University (UCU) are trying to find means of survival. The students are embracing entrepreneurship in order to survival in a harsh economy. The students are choosing to start small. The zealous students are selling sweets among their fellow students.

“I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.” This is a quote attributed in 1929 to German-born physicist Albert Einstein. Had he not been a scientist, he said he would have chosen a career in music. 

The Canticles of Solomon, as the book is sometimes called, uses such “graphic imagery” of romantic love and sexuality, as to trigger a measure of embarrassment or shyness, even among the clergy, let alone Christians, who read the Bible.

He is a very effective hit man whose vicious reputation for torturing precedes him. We see him plying his trade in an early scene. hired to extract information by any means necessary.

In his year of leadership, Masembe said he hopes to help lift the student financial burden of meeting the university requirements. He says he got the inspiration to vie for the office because he thought the structural arrangement of the sports facilities at Kampala Campus needed to be improved by a leader with an interest in sports.

When there is a burning desire for wordsmiths to breathe life into the spoken word, they rarely fail to find a platform to express their craft. If such a platform doesn’t exist, they create their own. 

Some of them had myths UCU was “strict” and “law and theology-centered”. In fact, they may have been surprised that we were wearing trousers instead of extremely long, nun-like skirts. In the delusion, they likened the strictness to that of a secondary school.

The Faculty of Agriculture at Uganda Christian University (UCU) is giving out vegetables to the outside community as well as empowering farmers. 

10 student teams have undergone Phase one of the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Digital Innovation Praxis Challenge. The phase dubbed ‘Understanding the User’ Ideation Bootcamp took place at the Hamu Mukasa Library, UCU, on Saturday, June 18.
